The fourth featured Workshop focuses on Bringing the Science of Learning to Technologies with Expeditionary Learning by Matt Jensen from St Mary’s College, Ipswich.

The Science of Learning is often ‘pigeonholed’ in subjects such as the Languages, Mathematics and Science. In this session, Matt will delve into the integration of the Science of Learning with the digital and design components of the Australian curriculum’s version 9 in Technologies. By combining EL Education and XP School’s expeditionary learning approach, we aim to invigorate the learning experience and foster profound understanding and growth. Join us as we explore how expeditionary learning, involving deep learning and the creation of authentic products for a real audience, can enhance the learning process and promote deep learning and development in Technologies. Discover innovative ways to enliven education and inspire students through this transformative pedagogical approach.
